Some time ago the UK was shocked by the news about Chinese intelligence infiltrating parliament. The woman is suspected of carrying out her actions by participating in political intervention in the country.
Apart from the UK, there were also a number of women who ended up being arrested for infiltrating and stealing information from other countries.
1. Anna Chapman
In 2011, the FBI released a report on a Russian spy network involving Anna Chapman. Anna Chapman is known to secretly provide information and money as part of her surveillance efforts.
Anna Chapman is a model as well as a member of the pro-Kremlin party leadership.
She is known to have received long-term assignments from Moscow and is tasked with digging deeper into US society. Chapman is also in charge of establishing contact with academics, businessmen and government policymakers on subjects from defense to finance.

The 39-year-old woman was arrested by the FBI for being tracked by sending an encrypted message to the person in charge with a specially designed laptop.

Josephine Baker is known as a female spy for France. This American woman was the first black woman to enter the famous city of the Pantheon.
Baker was a well-known artist, singer, and dancer in the 20th century. She was recruited as a spy for France allegedly to show her gratitude to the country that had made her contribute to the war effort.
Baker is known to have been sent to the Italian embassy as one of the espionage tests. On the test, she managed to extract sensitive information from the country’s attache and managed to bring it back for a report.
Since then, Baker was trained in various espionage techniques by Jacques Abtey, a famous French intelligence officer of the era. She is believed to have a strong charm and ability to change roles that can help her in carrying out her duties.
In 1941, she was believed to be a spy and settled in North Africa. Baker has also traveled various trips, from Casablanca to Lisbon, Seville, Madrid, Barcelona, holding concerts, to attending various receptions. She also gave written notes pinned to her underwear to British agents.
Baker is also known as an activist with a high social spirit. She is vocal in demanding the emancipation of society.
Similar to Mata Hari, Josephine Baker’s story has also been published in various works, such as books, films, and documentaries. Several street names, squares, and schools in France are also named after her.
3. Christine Kui Lee
Recently, the British Parliament was rumored to have been infiltrated by a woman connected to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Christine Kui Lee is accused of intervening in political activities in the UK.
The UK’s Security Agency, MI5, has warned MPs about the discovery of a female intelligence officer infiltrating the UK Parliament. She is alleged to have acted in secret with the CCP’s United Workers’ Front (UFWD) Department.
However, this news was strongly denied by the Chinese Embassy in London. They say China has never attempted to intervene to gain influence in foreign parliaments.
4. Gina Bennett
Gina Bennett is a member of the CIA’s Senior Analytical Service who works as a senior counterterrorism adviser at the National Counterterrorism Center. Bennett was the first woman to warn about Osama bin Laden.
Bennett first worked as a terrorism control officer. She is tasked with monitoring intelligence and news media to analyze trends in terrorism and to respond to attacks when they occur.
In her search for terrorism cases, she admitted that she did not expect that most of the rest of her career would focus on the issue of Osama bin Laden.
Through various analyzes and investigations she did, Bennett managed to find loopholes in Osama bin Laden and reported the dangers of the movement she led to the United States.
5. Margaretha Zelle (Mata Hari)
Margaretha Zelle is a female spy who is known as an exotic dancer. The Dutch-born woman who is more commonly referred to as Mata Hari is suspected of being a double agent for Germany and France.
In early 1917, George Ladoix, a French military intelligence officer, arrested and interrogated Zelle regarding her alleged espionage. In front of her, Zelle confessed that she received money from Germany. But she denies ever providing useful information to Germany.
In October 1917, Zelle was executed by firing squad. Her story of becoming a spy has inspired many works of art, from films, theater, paintings, to paintings.
