A person’s life expectancy can reach 130 years, although not many can reach that point. Human life span has long been debated, and recent research reveals humans can live up to 150 years and there is no maximum limit.

How long is human life?

A study published in 2016 by the Albert Einstein College of Medicine stated that a human can’t live more than 155 years. This study also states that the age of 125 may be the end of the human lifespan. However, a recent study conducted by researchers from McGill University found another conclusion.

More than 3,800 Italians born between 1896 and 1910 were include in the data collection. This means that the people include in the study were either supercentenarian (lived to 110 years of age) or at least, semi-supercentenarians (lived to 105 years of age).

Maximum 150 years old

Scientists claim that humans no longer have a survival mechanism beyond the age of 150. In the journal Nature Communications, scientists use mathematical modeling to uncover the absolute limits of the human lifespan. Based on these calculations, it was found that after 120-150 years humans will completely lose the ability to recover. From various kinds of stress including injury and illness.

As a result, death is inevitable at that age. The scientists analyzed large amounts of data from the United States, Britain, and Russia. This includes medical data obtained anonymously from 500,000 people, including routine blood test data performed every few months.

With this data, scientists use technology to create computer models called dynamic organism state indicators or DOSI for each individual. The results are used to measure biological age, which quantifies how well a person can recover from stress, both injury, and illness.

Researchers have found no end to the human lifespan

Another study found that the odds of a person dying at age 68 are about 2 percent. At age 76 about 4 percent, and at age 97 are closer to 30 percent. Surprisingly, the researchers also found that the risk of death increase by 60 percent. When a person reach the age of 105 years and the percentage tends to stabilize after that age – not necessarily so much.

From these results, the researchers concluded that there is no end to the human lifespan that can be accurately predicted. The researchers not only saw that mortality rates worsened with age, but they also saw that mortality rates might improve over time.

To live long

Apart from the results of the latest research, there are some simple things you can do to live longer and have quality. You can try to implement a healthy lifestyle in various ways. Like, as getting enough sleep, exercising, eating nutritious food, and spending time with loved ones
