This time we will discuss the need for a green screen or blue screen for variations in video models by changing the background. How important is it? CGI effects that are apply to cinema films are often an option to reduce the cost of making films. This means, there is no need to use the real tool or even have to go to the desire location.
What is the CGI effect?
Base on the media source Wikipedia, CGI stands for Computer-Generated Imagery. Is the use of computer graphics (or more accurately, 3D computer graphics) in special effects. CGI is used in films, television shows, and commercials, as well as in print. Video games generally use real-time computer graphics (rarely referred to as CGI), but also often use render “cutscenes” and opening films similar to CGI use. This is call Full Motion Video (FMV). In using CGI effects, it cannot be separate from the green screen or green screen. Most of them use a green screen, although some use a blue screen or blue screen.
Why should Green Screen?
To isolate the background color with the color that is on the part of a person’s body or object in front of the screen, then green is the best. The green color will contrast and separate from the color of the object in front of it. The green color is very effective for balancing the contrasting color of the lighting with the main object.
Then, how about the blue screen itself? A blue screen is used if the object has a green color, and vice versa, if the object has a blue part, then the screen that must be installed as a background is green.
So, what about other colors? Red, yellow, orange, white, or others. It can be done in the chroma key to remove the background, but the results will not be optimal, there are parts of the object that are missing and the background color is missing.
